Novo Sancti Petri is a small self contained low rise resort, with quality accommodation and facilities, located on the Costa de la Luz – the Coast of Light. It is a purpose built resort and therefore offers everything for the holiday maker. The main attraction is the glorious Blue Flag sandy beach.

Beaches at Novo Sancti Petri stretch over 8 km and have fine and golden sands that lead into the crystal clear Atlantic Ocean. In total, the area of the resort covers 4.000 hectares with plenty of land still remaining untouched.

The adjoining area of La Barrosa is within walking distance and has long been a favourite with Spanish families. Here you can find a promenade and a range of cafes, restaurants and shops.

Nightlife is low key and entertainment is mainly restaurant based, therefore Novo Sancti Petri is ideal for those in search of a relaxing holiday or those concentrating on their golf skills.

Those visiting the resort might also want to get to know the surrounding area. One place that is well worth a visit is Chiclana de la Frontera – a historical city not far from Novo Sancti Petri. Of course there are also numerous other places of interest such as the city of Cadiz, Jerez de la Frontera or Sevilla. All three are ideal destinations for a daytrip and full of culture and tradition. Wine and sherry lovers will simply be impressed by the range of wineries and typical bodegas that can be found in the area.

Another attraction in the surrounding area is the Castle of Sancti Petri which can be found on the island of the same name. It is only 7 km from Novo Sancti Petri, just opposite of the coast of Chiclana. The castle is believed to once have been the famous Temple of Hercules. For a long time the island was a restricted military area. Today travelers can make a trip there to visit the ruins of this magnificent castle that dates back to the 8th century and the picturesque and historical tower that was rebuilt and nowadays is used as a lighthouse – definitely a sight that should not be missed.

Nature lovers will truly enjoy a trip to the nearby Bahía Cádiz Nature Park. It is a huge wildlife reserve that covers an area of around 10.000 hectares. Within the park you will find a variety of flora and fauna with natural beaches, marshes, salt flats and numerous species of birds and other animals. Especially the marshes of Sancti Petri, La Isla de Trocadero and Los Toruños are rich in vegetation and animals. In addition to the Bahía Cádiz Nature Park, the Costa de la Luz is offering numerous other Nature reserves and nature parks: the Los Alcornocales, the famous Doñana, the La Breña and the El Estrecho, to name only some.

If you are interested in the typical way of life and enjoy a stroll through the narrow streets of a typical Andalusian town – Medina Sidonia is the place to go. It is a town steeped in history, with a history that dates back more than 3000 years. Moorish traces can be found all over but especially in the architecture of some of the historical buildings. As the town is located on a hill, you can not only enjoy pleasant walks here but also breathtaking views of the area.
